·The piston rod extends when driving, and the spring resets when the pressure is removed: When the driving medium acts on the cylinder, it overcomes the built-in spring force and pushes the piston rod outward to do work; once the driving medium is removed or interrupted, the compressed spring immediately releases the stored energy, forcing the piston rod to retract stably and reliably to the initial position.
