Air Cylinder is a common power actuator, which is essentially a device that converts compressed gas energy into controllable linear mechanical motion. Its core working principle relies on the force generated by the pressurized gas entering the closed chamber, pushing a specific movable structure inside to move along a fixed axis.
The movable structure can extend in one direction or retract in the opposite direction by controlling the gas inlet and outlet path and timing through an external valve. The whole process reflects the effective conversion of fluid power (air pressure) to linear motion. Its main structure usually includes a solid shell (cylinder), internal components for movement, necessary seals and gas inlets.
The core value of this device is that it provides a relatively direct solution for realizing basic linear drive functions such as pushing, pulling, clamping, and lifting in automated or mechanized systems.
